Sacred Heart Catholic School (SHCS) is a "Top School" for the state of Arizona in the 2009 Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Center for Talented Youth (CTY) Talent Search. JHU looked at the top 100 schools by state to determine the number of student enrollments they received into their annual Talent Search, and SHCS received this honor. This achievement is a source of pride for the SHCS Community. This award calls to mind that SHCS has a solid core of very high achieving students and that we look out for our top students' best interests by encouraging them and their parents to investigate outside academic options like CTY.

We recognize parents as the primary educators of their children. We prepare children for the present and the future by joining with their parents and the Church to instill in them a strong sense of Catholic Christian faith, service and hospitality, spiritual community of faith, with inner discipline, moral discernment, as well as academic excellence. Along with the Diocese of Phoenix, we strive for the integration of faith, which is taught and experienced, and which sets the Catholic school apart from all other forms of education.
